Āke Creative is a design studio based in Tasman, Nelson - NZ. I work with clients both locally and worldwide - with graphic design, branding and websites.
My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in experience. With a degree in Design and Marketing, and over 15 years in the industry - I bring both strategy and intuition to every project.
To support my clients fully I work with a bunch of trusted experts in related fields to bring your vision to life.

MEET THE DESIGNER
KIA ORA, I’M RAWINIA
During the week, you’ll usually find me tucked away in my office cabin, working on client projects, or I’ll be cooking up fresh ideas for my own business.
I studied Design and Marketing at Uni years ago - and since then have been a life long learner and side hustler, while working within the industry for 15 + years - and then later creating a business for myself - which I feel so lucky to be able to do.
Āke Creative is a studio driven by creativity, which is the reason I started designing in the first place. I thrive on new projects, that buzz of creativity, and the collaborative, rewarding ride of crafting branding, design and websites that truly connect and resonate with your audience.
I grew up on the wild West Coast in Hokitika — a place that shaped who I am and how I see the world. Creativity’s always been part of me. As a kid, I was constantly drawing – mostly stylish ladies wearing the clothes I wanted (my sister actually became the fashion designer though).
I studied Design and Marketing at Otago University, not fully sure where it would lead. A few twists and turns (and one very bad first job in rural Queensland) later, I’ve found my place – working for myself, doing what I love.
Āke Creative is where I get to combine all the things I’m into – design, psychology, words, problem-solving, people. I help small business owners get clear on their vision, and create branding and design that feels like them – and connects with the people they’re here to serve.
I live with my husband Mike and our three amazing kids and Wire haired pointer Tui in beautiful Tasman.
